New AND Old Loves

These are the most delicious things i have ever consumed. Trust me.
Guru's Sweet potato fries.
Go order some tonight.
You'll never look back.

Also.
If you haven't seen the movie Scott Pilgrim Vs. the World- You need to. There are so many reasons why this movie is awesome.
One of them is in the movie Scott has a girlfriend who breaks up with him after becoming an incredibly famous musician.
In the movie he goes to one of her shows and she is singing this song. I felt like it sounded familiar- but i couldn't put my finger on who it was.
After doing research i found the song was written by no other then one of my old flames of a band
METRIC!
They aren't the ones that preform it in the film- but it still sparked my interest.
They did a good cover- but metric blows it out of the water.
I'm falling in love all over again with my old friend, Metric.
It's so fun.
Here's another favorite from them.
Enjoy.

Cheers.

The Beauty of Making Money

I love love love my new slacks I purchased from Gap this week.
Gap has the absolute best sales in the University Mall.
These pants were originally $60- and this weekend- I got them for $12. Beat that.
This top was originally $59.00- and I bought it in pale pink for $7!
I went to Forever 21 and paired it with a cute black cardigan with cream bows on the pockets for $13.99
You add a skinny Pink belt to that combo- and you're complete.
It was a great shopping week: )

ALSO this weekend we went up to Sundance to meet/ hangout with Katie's Family.
Katie's parents are off the chain. So fun and accommodating. Just good people to be around.
Same goes with Katie's little brother.
I love having a handful of good friends that I can kick back with.

Also. My oldest brother Joel is a freak.
Cheers.

Speak Now

Is so addicting.Yes. I am referring to the new Taylor Swift album.

I know I know- I'm just as surprised as you!
I have been mildly obsessed with this album. I mean- I PAYED 14 dollars for it. That says something.
So the reason I'm obsessed? Just listen and you'll totally get it. I like that she sings about celebrities.
After extensive research I have discovered that the following people have songs written just for them in her new CD.
John Mayer
Taylor Lautner
Joe Jonas
Camille Bell
AND DUH
Kanye West
I love that. I know who all those people are. It makes the listening more exciting.
Enough about T swift.
Cheers

The Return of the Blog

So i think the reason i have been so terrible at this blog thing is because i have thought it had to be my journal-meaning I had to write in it everyday-everything i felt/ thought.
now that i have discovered this isnt the case i feel like i will be much better about it.
Things change so quickly at this age. You never know whats happening next. Obviously its exciting- but at the same time it can be pretty scary. I hate scary.
I was sick all last week and adam is just now getting it.
I guess that is part of the stipulations when youre a nanny for 9 kids under the age of 12.
I love those kids. every one of them-but somedays i come home and all i want to do is sit in silence.
Its such a blessing. Silence. I took  it for granted for SURE before i started this job.
I learn so much in silence.
I have the best husband of all time i have decided. Adam is such a loving, fun person. We don't see eachother at all on the week days until he comes home from work at 9:30 . Can i tell you working oposite schedules and missing eachother has been so eye opening . When he comes home from work we just talk and talk. The nighttime is my favorite time now. Us time. Its so nice to come home to your best friend. I LOVE IT.  Valentines day was wonderful- and i can't wait to get all dressed up again next year.

So as everyone knows im a decorating machine at my house. I never feel like it's finished and i am CONSTINTLY adding new things. Our bedroom has been our main focus this month. Here are some new additions we have been excited for.
This Clock might be my favorite thing in my home. I got it from Cherry Lane Boutique. I love that place. Go visit Katie Alt. Ask her to show you some cute stuff. She has good taste.

Urban Outfitters party banner- and cable picture hanger. You can't go wrong with Urban Outfitters. They haven't let me down since 03'.

Another Cherry Lane addition. FINALLY all of my necklaces have a place to hang. Adam is REALLY happy about this one. haha

In addition to new cute things- Adam and I have been watching a new show called Portlandia. Quote from Katie Alt- "The show pretty much makes fun of everything we like." It's true- but seriously. Its SOO FUNNY.
Take a look

P.S!!!
I have been thinking about going PLATINUM BLONDE. I think a white afro would be cool.
Cheers.

i was way excited to start this blog, and i have entirely neglected it. this kind of behavior is the opposite of the way i want to change my life this new year.
i usually don't give january first any thought- but for some reason this year i put a lot of energy into my new years resolutions. every year every women has the goal- lose weight on their list. i decided i would change that around a little bit and instead of just losing weight- im going to relearn how to eat. im learning more and more how what we eat affects the way we feel, the mood we are in , the energy we have, and what our skin looks like. i recently saw a wonderful documentary about this very subject- called Food, Inc.

this fim is worth watching if you have any interest in living well into our eighties. which.. everyone does. i wont go to much into it but i will tell you this, after i watched it i felt the need to eat all organic.

so much has happened in the last two months it overwhels me to think about writing all of it

Shattered Expectations and Hush Puppies.

So this morning i wake up, and see that there are WONDERFUL snow clouds in the sky. i think to myself good. thank you mr. weatherman- give me what i want.
So i go though out the morning with high expectations that there will be a wee bit o' powder.( also adam had confirmed it on the all knowing iphone weather reading)
around three i head over to my brothers apt. to deliver the turkey Nu Skin has so graciously given us(with adam being an employee)
turns out they were at wally world(wallmart) and wouldn't be home for a bit-and suggested i leave it at the door.
SO THEN
my sister in law gets on the phone is is like "Tay.. did you hear about the blizzard coming!? its going to be huge!"
so of course i love this news.
one because it means its going to snow.
two because it means adam might not have to go to work
and three because im human being and anytime something out of the ordinary and/or scary is predicted i jump on the bandwagon.
to wrap up the story.
adam went to work.
it barely snowed AT ALL( which by the way made me look dumb because i begged adam not to go to work in fear he would die on the ice)
and i died on level 37 of Zombies Ate My Neighbors.
still waiting for the blizzard everyone(..myself included) was freaking out about.

anywho.. when adam came back from work we were bored out of our minds.. so what did we do? what we always do when boredom hits.....
thats right. one of the best places on earth.
mind you.. even though it didn't blizzard it was still freezing. which meant two things.
winter cloths
and hot chocolate.

 OH AND OF COURSE...
they are delish. you must try them out.
so we talked and talked. mostly about when we first met(our favorite subject) and how he made me laugh more then anyone ever had. and how he thought my afro was super cool and unique.
it was a good reminder of how much we care about each other.
then adam made a super cool secret potion from the syrup and hot chocolate.

so we left happy. and ran to our car... cause its freaking cold out there

and now we get the week and weekend off. and nothing sounds better then pulling out our sofa bed, popping popcorn and watching a movie together.
i didnt get my blizzard, but i have my best friend.. soo.. i still win.
cheers.

Taylor.

Taylor Killpack is my name. I am a girl.

I am married. His name is Adam
He is someone i like very much. (i like him very VERY much when he poses.)
This is a good example of one of those poses.
i have been doing hair for the past two years- and i quite like it.
Provo, Utah is the town we reside in. Its one of those places you change your mind about. Anyone that lives here knows what i am talking about.
i dont like capitalizing, or using proper grammar, it takes a lot of consentration on my part.
so lets just jump into it- yea?
This week was a success.
me, katie, and kaylee went to the Bijou Market on friday morning. we all got a lot of goooodies. that was way fun. its nice to be around people you have no reservations about. i know that sounds kinda weird- but nowadays you never know with some people.
that night we went to the salon and gave kaylee a cute cut.
she has great teeth as you can see.
anywho
the next day, we went out to dinner with katie and her boyfriend taylor.
goodwood.
BOMB.
later the menfolk wanted to play call of duty( surprise) so we went back to our place.
Katie and i (being women) retreated to the kitchen to bake some mouth watering cookies.
and
the result was pure beauty.
its borderline gross how many of those cookies i have eaten.
till tomorrow
cheers.
